Sutton Care Tree
Po Box 157 Sutton, Alaska 99674
We belive Santa should beable to visit every child. To make this possible we become Santa's helpers. We gather names of families and elderly who need some extra help. We reach from Glaicer View to Sutton, thats a 32 mile radius.
The Care Tree is by far SAC's most expensive event. It takes the most planning, preperation, time and patcents. The planning for this event starts in September.
Donation letters go out, and the schools get contacted, and the purchasing starts.
Individual information is placed on angels. Then they are placed on Christmas Tree's througth out Sutton. Volunters then select an angel from one of the tree's. Once the Volunter has shopped for there angel, the angel is then attached to the bags of goodies and retruned under the angels tree. Then Santa's helpers come along and collect the angels and there goodies and wrap them.
Once all of the angels have been taken care of, Santa loads up the bags of gifts and delivers them to all of the families.
There are 3 places you can claim your angel and drop off your dontaions.'
Sutton General Store, Sutton Library and Sutton Elementary School.
